世界の平和は家庭から。東京家庭教育研究所の取り組む平和への第一歩
すべて |～子どもに学ぶ家庭教育～
一般社団法人アジア宗教者平和会議は、アジア太平洋地域から始まる世界平和を目指し、様々な活動を行っています。しかし、アジア宗教者平和会議を設立された一人である庭野日敬氏が残された言葉にあるように、平和は一人ではつくることはできません。
私たちの団体と同じ願いを持ち支えて下さる皆さんがいるからこそ、創れる未来があります。本日ご紹介する「東京家庭教育研究所」も、その一団体です。
東京家庭教育研究所は1975年に小林謙策氏によって創立され、以後家庭における正しい親子関係のあり方を探求し、常に時代の要望に応えるよう新しいテーマを研究開発しながら、出版物の発行や講演会、講座、シンポジウム等を開催しています。更には学校教育現場や地域公共団体とも積極的に関わり、講演会、研修会などの講師派遣依頼、研究グループの勉強指導などを行っています。東京家庭教育研究所の想いは、日本国内だけでなくアジア諸国にも伝わり、海外での家庭教育も実施されています。
世界の平和は家庭から作られ、家庭での教育が子どもの心を豊かにします。その家庭毎の取り組みが、やがて世界の平和へと繋がっていきます。
その想いは、まさに私たち団体の願いと同じです。家庭からつくる平和の大切さは、昨年度行われた弊社と日本国際協力センターの共催プロジェクト「アフガニスタン・ピースアクション講演会」でも証明されました。講演者であるアフガニスタンNGO代表者も、武力ではなく対話が大切であり、家庭教育から始める平和が今求められるとお話しされていました。
現在、新型コロナにより、私たちの生活は大きく変わってきています。外出自粛要請が発令されてから、家庭で過ごす時間が増え、「子どもとの会話や触れ合い」が増えたという声や、「コロナ疲れ」を訴える声も聞こえてきます。
今だからこそ、家庭の中で平和について考えることも大切なのかもしれません。

EDUCATIONAL POLICY
1. Objective of Education
●The objective of education is to inculcate in the young people an abundance of human qualities and thus respond to the desire of the people today to build a happy family life, to develop a bright and open
society and to seek world peace.
●Family education is not a doctrine. It must be taught through daily examples set by the parents, which results in the improvement of both the parents and their children.
2. Principles of Family Education(Learning from our Children）
●If the parents change, so will their children.
●If the parents wish their children to change, first the parents themselves must change. If the children do not change, this is proof that the parents have not changed.
SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
1. Study and Development of Family Education Suitable for Today
The problems concerning the relationship between parents and their children are numerous and serious today, as indicated by the increases in delinquency, violence, suicide, refusal to attend school, etc. among the young people. We are constantly studying and developing new topics for family education by keeping sensitively attuned to the actual misgivings and concerns within the home of the fathers and mothers.
2. Holding of Public Lectures
We conduct public lectures throughout the country to spread the knowledge of correct family education among the mothers in the local communities.
3. Dispatch of Speakers to Lectures and Study Meetings
We dispatch lectures upon request to school-related functions, local public and other groups, community centers, business enterprises, etc.
4. Research and Compilation of Family Education Material and Publication of in-house periodicals
We research and compile material useful to persons interested in family education, and we also publish in-house periodicals.
5. Consultation on Education
We are open at all times for consultation on education.(From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
1. Lectures, Study Meetings and Publications
Bearing in mind the true principles of family education, we are constantly studying and developing new topics to cope with the demand of the times and are issuing publications and conducting lectures and study meetings.
2. Dispatch of Lecturers and Instructors
We receive many requests annually from various localities for speakers and instructors for lecture meetings and study sessions, for study group guidance, etc.
Lately in particular we have received requests for lectures for the family education classes in the elementary and the junior and senior high schools and the nurseries and kindergartens, as well as requests from the community centers and other groups, and the contents of these lectures are also being actively incorporated in the senior citizens’ classes, the classes for women, etc. as part of the overall activities of the local community centers.
